Green Dreams
DC Comics announced another reprint from my Green Lantern run, this time a facsimile edition of issue #50, which introduced Hal Jordan as Parallax. As far as I’m aware, there will be a “standard” edition featuring the original Darryl Banks/Romeo Tanghal cover (though I’m unsure if it will be glow-in-the-dark); a foil variant of the same cover; a blank sketch cover; and a Super Powers variant by Jason Geyer and Alex Saviuk.

I can remember buying Super Powers action figures as a kid, including the Green Lantern/Hal Jordan figure, in the toy department of the Caldor store in Kingston, NY, not far from my house. If you had told that kid that someday he’d help create a character who gets his own Super Powers variant, it would’ve seemed like absolute crazy talk.
The Green Lantern #50 facsimile editions are due in stores on Nov. 25. I’ll have a supply of the facsimile editions of #49 and #50 (mostly the foil variants and the Super Powers variant) at appearances. I’ll probably get some signed copies into the store on the site here as well.
There’s also another Kyle Rayner action figure due from McFarlane Toys, featuring Kyle in his redesigned costume. This comes on the heels of the Kyle Rayner White Lantern figure, which was a 2026 Comic Con International exclusive. I managed to order one of those, and I’ll do the same with the new figure.

Yes, it feels a little dumb to be buying action figures of characters I created, but there’s really no mechanism to get creators copies of merch featuring their creations. Funko reached out to gift me Kyle and Parallax Pops, but that’s the exception rather than the rule. More often, honestly, fans have been kind enough to send action figures, cards, and other memorabilia.
This update is on the short version this time, as deadlines are consuming most of my time of late. I’m working on several unannounced projects that won’t see the light of day until 2027, as well as one that isn’t scheduled to release until 2028. More on those as soon as I can.
