Since I’m often asked how appearing at a convention works for creators, here’s a glimpse what’s it like on my side of the table at a show. While I can tell you how things work for me, keep in mind that everyone has different needs, different deals.

I’ve had two more shows announced, likely to last two announcements for the year, but you never know. On Oct. 25, I’ll be at my local show, Albany Comic Con. Run by my buddy John Belskis, Albany Con is very much an old school, one-day comic show: no celebrities on the guest list, just creators.

"What if," I said, "I wrote a page of script, and we gave it to three different artists, and see how they each approach drawing the page."

Since returning from Hawaii, I’ve been on a travel binge that’s pretty unprecedented for me: first South Africa, then on consecutive weekends, Virginia Beach, Oklahoma City, Nashville, and Niagara Falls for convention appearances.

An abbreviated post this time, as I’m on my way to Honolulu, Hawaii today for my appearances at the McCully-Mōʻiliʻili Public Library (including an appearance at the Washington Middle School).
